How Should I Prepare for my Session? Angel of Water Animation
We recommend that you avoid eating two hours prior to your appointment time. This allows for the majority of previously consumed food to pass from the stomach to the small intestines, where the pressure on the abdomen will not create nausea or discomfort.
Drink lots of water at least 24 hours prior to your session. Drink at least one-half of your weight, in ounces; for example: if you weigh 140 lbs, you would drink 70 oz throughout the day. Don’t gulp; rather, drink slowly, so that your body can absorb the water and put it to use. You will also find that you visit the bathroom less often.
Before…
- Drink plenty of water (a gallon – during the 24 hours prior to the colonic – is recommended).
- Avoid soda, coffee, and alcohol for 24 hours prior to colonic.
- IMPORTANT: Do not eat 2 hours prior to your colonic.
Your First Visit…
On the day of your colonic, eat a light breakfast and lunch, depending on your appointment time. Remember to stop eating 2 hours before your colonic.
Your first visit will take 75 minutes and will include your consultation and colonic. Depending on your diet, we will talk about nutrition and a protocol to keep your colon happy. Dr. Lawson will review your Personal History Form which will help us to understand your digestive health and verify that it is safe for you to take a colonic.
